Here’s a common scenario that happens more than you might realize. A firm has multiple staff sharing the same Microsoft license. As time passes, each person begins to use their access, and as a result, they all have the same name for their editing comments. Is this a problem? Absolutely.
Now and then, everyone will have the task of inserting comments into a Word document to make revisions, give their opinion on something, etc.
It is often hard to change the username, which can result in work privacy issues, shared documents where commentary is under the wrong name, and access to personal information. This is always a recipe for a problem.
So, here is a simple way to change your name without the headache.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups.
Click the Add button below the list of users.
Click the New Account pop-up menu, then choose a type of user.
Enter your full name for the new user.
Enter a password for the user, then enter it again to verify.
Click Create User.
Now that was pretty simple! Give us a ring if you need us to walk you through this or any other mac-related topic. We’re here to help!
